Country singer Brian “Nashville” Duckworth has died at the age of 56.
According to an obituary shared by his family, the singer died at his home Sept. 7.
His family, with whom Duckworth was part of the band Taylor Made, shared in the obituary that, while pursuing a career as a country music star, he “was a devoted dump truck driver for Wolfe’s Excavating,” earning him the nickname, “Truck Boss.”
They added that “he truly enjoyed” the job “because it allowed him to spend his days outdoors.”
“Music was also a special part of his life. He loved to sing and proudly performed with his family band, Taylor Made. Brian never passed up an opportunity to share his voice, earning him the affectionate nickname ‘Nashville.'”

Duckworth grew up signing with his brother, Greg, and his sister, Wendy Williams, with the trio coming together in 2008 to form the band I-79 performing under that name for the first time at the Colgate Country Showdown.
They later changed their name to Taylor Made and made a name for themselves with hit songs such as “Things You Don’t Grow Out Of,” which reached No. 36 on the Billboard Indicator chart.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 16 years, Tina, his six children, Zach, Ashton, Logan, Kayla, Michael and Matt, as well as his four grandchildren and five brothers and sisters.
“Above all, Brian treasured his family and the special memories they created together,” the obituary read. “He also dearly loved his faithful fur family, who were constant companions and brought him great comfort and happiness. Brian’s love of family, music, and the outdoors will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.”

His niece, Brianna Duckworth Kazner, shared a video on her Facebook account from her wedding, saying she is “having a hard time believing” that is “the last time Taylor Made sang together.”
“I grew up watching my dad, Aunt Wendy, and Uncle Brian perform at fairs and festivals until I was finally old enough to join them on a few occasions,” Kazner wrote. “As I’ve gotten older and started writing my own music, I knew the guy to call whenever I got creatively ‘stuck.’ He truly had such a way with song lyrics that I knew without a doubt Uncle Brian would pull me out of the songwriter’s slump.”
