EA SPORTS FC 27 soundtrack brings 120 tracks from 36 countries

Electronic Arts has unveiled the soundtrack for EA SPORTS FC 27, featuring 120 tracks from 36 countries, including songs by internationally known artists such as Interpol, The Strokes, The Neighbourhood, Royal Blood, Little Simz and Cage The Elephant, as well as emerging artists and previously unreleased tracks. The soundtrack expands the series’ more than 20-year tradition of music discovery to an even broader range of regions.

Soccer games have a unique place in the world of music. Over the years, EA SPORTS’ soccer series have not only brought popular songs into the games but also helped millions of players discover artists they had never heard before. FC 27 continues this tradition.

EA SPORTS FC 27, which will be available in Early Access on Sept. 18 and launch worldwide on Sept. 25, features established names such as The War on Drugs, Royal Blood, Nia Archives, Chase & Status and Barry Can’t Swim on its soundtrack.

The list is not limited to major names. Emerging artists including The Itch, Sycco, Bruvvy, Temper City, bed and Rose Gray will also reach millions of players through FC 27. The selection also stands out for featuring previously unreleased work from Cage The Elephant and Mura Masa. Sayf’s “TOP OF THE POPS (Red Bull 64 Bars)” is also a part of the selection.

For KYAN, who appears on the game with the track “Garage,” FC 27 has special significance. The artist says he has been playing EA SPORTS’ soccer games since 2007 and had dreamed of hearing one of his own songs in the game since childhood. With “Garage,” created with Enzo from the Block and Mu540, being included in FC 27, that dream has become a reality.

Cage The Elephant has also expressed excitement about its new song “Dying In Reverse” making its debut on FC 27.

Music in FC 27 will extend beyond the songs playing in the menus. The game’s new social soccer space, The Grounds, will feature three distinct areas – Parkside, Montclair and Zeiza – inspired by English, French and Argentine soccer cultures. Each area will have its own music selection reflecting its identity and atmosphere.

FC Mobile will also give players a say in the soundtrack. From Sept. 10-12, players can vote for their favorite of five tracks from the FC 27 soundtrack, and the community-selected song will be added to FC Mobile on Oct. 12. A retro track chosen through an earlier vote will be added to the game on Sept. 24.

Steve Schnur, EA Games’ global head of music and marketing, said the EA SPORTS FC soundtrack has evolved into an international cultural institution over the past 20 years, with FC 27 offering one of the series’ most global selections to date. Alongside soccer, the EA SPORTS FC series continues to play another role it has taken on over the years: helping millions of people discover new music. With 120 songs from 36 countries, that reach is broader than ever in FC 27.
