Taylor Swift, Timothée Chalamet and more celebrities join wild scenes after epic Knicks win

It was a victory for the ages as the New York Knicks overcame a whopping 29-point deficit to complete the largest comeback in NBA Finals history against the San Antonio Spurs.

Fans went wild inside and outside Madison Square Garden after the stunning victory — some famous faces among them.

Diehard Knicks fan and Academy Award nominee Timothée Chalamet went topless after the game after stripping off his jacket and shirt with his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, looking on.

The “Marty Supreme” star was seen jubilantly jumping up and down with fellow actor Ben Stiller in a video shared by the NBA.

Pop icon Taylor Swift, wearing a blue “Stevie Knicks” shirt, was also seen swinging the team towel in the air and chanting with the fans as she left the garden.

Movie director Spike Lee, tennis legend John McEnroe, actress Mariska Hargitay, and comedians Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David were also among the celebrity fans spotted at the game.

Some fans noted that David, known for his usually deadpan demeanour, was particularly emotional during the game and after the win.

Across the country in Irvine, California, the U.S. men’s national soccer took a break from their preparations for their World Cup opener against Paraguay this weekend to tune into the nail-biting game.

The team shared a video of the players, including avid Knicks fan Tyler Adams, watching OG Anunoby’s game-deciding one-handed tip-in with just 1.2 seconds to go.

Shouting in disbelief, some of them jumped over couches in celebration.

Similar scenes were seen in New York City where supporters spilled onto the streets after the game, chanting and waving the team’s flags as some jumped onto cars and climbed onto lampposts.

In Fort Greene, Brooklyn, crowds gathered around a projection of the game on the side of a building, while some watched from across an intersection in a video verified by NBC News.

Another video showed fans at a city bar erupting with joy after the final shot, shouting “Let’s go, New York.”

However, there was a sour note as some Knicks fans gathered around Spurs players returning to their hotel with several videos showing objects being thrown at the team’s star Victor Wembanyama.

The teams will tip off Game 5 on Saturday in Texas. Leading the series 3-1, if they are victorious, the Knicks could win their first NBA title in 53 years.
