President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, speaking at his party’s parliamentary group meeting, said: “I remind those who insult me and my country via social media that the Republic of Türkiye is not an ordinary state. No one can threaten Türkiye or its president.”
Erdoğan marked Martyrs’ Week, paying tribute to those killed in counter-terror operations and expressing condolences to their families. He also addressed a recent school incident in Şanlıurfa, saying investigations are ongoing and those responsible will be held accountable.
He highlighted Türkiye’s progress in energy, defense, transportation, and health, stressing the goal of “full energy independence.” Erdoğan said Türkiye now covers natural gas needs of 4 million homes from the Black Sea and aims to reach 8 million by 2026 and 16–17 million by 2028.
He noted Türkiye’s deep-sea drilling fleet and recent operations in Somalia, describing them as symbols of growing national capability and cooperation with friendly countries.
On global affairs, Erdoğan said the international system is under strain and criticized ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, calling for ceasefire efforts and diplomacy, while warning against actions that undermine peace.
He stressed Türkiye’s commitment to peace, saying: “If there will be stability in our region, it will be despite those who fuel conflict.”
Erdoğan also criticized the opposition, arguing it does not match Türkiye’s global ambitions.
He emphasized unity among Turks, Kurds, and Arabs, saying shared history and threats require solidarity.
He reiterated the government’s “terror-free Türkiye” goal and said efforts to eliminate terrorism must continue.
Erdoğan concluded by reaffirming Türkiye’s commitment to diplomacy and peace, inviting participation in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
