Pro wrestling star Shotzi Blackheart wants to go up against CMLL champion 'so badly'

Major League Wrestling’s (MLW) alliances with other promotions around the world allow the opportunity for some star-studded matches and it’s already been seen.

Shotzi Blackheart recently defended the MLW Women’s World Championship against Kira, of Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), on the latest episode of “Fusion.” She could also have the chance to go up against anyone from the Stardom roster. The possibilities are seemingly endless.

However, there’s one singles match she’s hoping to get a shot at. And that’s against CMLL world women’s champion Persephone. The two locked horns in a fatal four-way match in April but Shotzi is hoping that she gets another opportunity.

“Oh my god. I touched her a teeny, little bit during Mania week,” she recalled to Fox News Digital. “I had a four-way (match) with her and I can already tell you we have chemistry.

“I want a one-on-one against her so badly. She is so strong. so fierce. She’s intense. She is just so intense. I got like a little taste of her, but I need a one-on-one.”

Persephone has been the CMLL world women’s champion since March when she dethroned Mercedes Moné. She’s often been seen on All Elite Wrestling (AEW) programming as the company also has a partnership with CMLL

For now, Shotzi will turn her attention to MLW’s Skyscrapers – Donovan Dijak and Josh Bishop. She will be in the corner of Mads Krule Krugger and The Good Brothers – Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows – as they go up against the tag team champions.
