Move over Taylor Swift, Kansas City Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt has some headlines of her own to make. The attention surrounding the singer’s wedding to Travis Kelce this offseason was nice, but it’s back to business.

The offseason is over, the NFL regular season kicks off next week and the face of the front office has engagement party content to share. This is about love. This is about football. And this is about the future of the franchise.

The engagement party debrief at the place they met tells the story for Gracie and her fiancé, Derek, son of former Chiefs quarterback Trent Green, who popped the question back in April.

Exactly. Their story had to start at Arrowhead Stadium. She has a franchise to lead one day and whoever she marries has to be prepared for what that takes.

I don’t mean to suggest that there’s some rift between Tay Tay and Gracie. For all I know, they get along fine. This isn’t personal. This is about making sure the Chiefs Kingdom knows who will be there long term.
