David Warrington announced his departure as White House counsel after more than a year and a half of exceptional service to President Donald Trump and our nation. Warrington served through the most legally besieged presidency in American history and held the line every single day.

Warrington’s record speaks for itself. First as general counsel for Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign and then as White House counsel, Warrington spent years fighting the anti-Trump lawfare that sought to cripple both Trump and our country.

As campaign counsel, Warrington helped defeat multiple efforts to remove Trump from state ballots and represented the president in civil and constitutional matters stemming from the Democrats’ weaponization of our legal system.

Warrington then brought his battle-tested skill and wisdom straight into the White House — where he has proven decisive in advancing Trump’s ambitious agenda.

As White House counsel, Warrington drove the selection of a stellar slate of appellate and district judges who will serve long after the Trump administration ends. These jurists — among them all-stars Judge Emil Bove on the Third Circuit and Judge Eric Tung on the Ninth Circuit — stand out as constitutionalists already constraining the nation’s most radical district courts.

Many belong on any future Supreme Court short list. Those selections will endure as one of Warrington’s most important and lasting legacies.

Warrington also led, and largely won, the fight against the Democrat judicial sabotage of Trump’s second presidency. Democratic attorneys, their Democratic activists masquerading as harmed plaintiffs, and their Democratic judges in their Democratic venues — from the District of Columbia to San Francisco — repeatedly issued sham temporary restraining orders, injunctions, contempt proceedings, and other legal nonsense.

Their design was to grind to a halt the president’s electoral mandate — the will of American voters — to secure our border, expel illegal aliens, end rampant waste and fraud within our federal government, and give an attitude adjustment to the out-of-control Justice Department officials, intel managers, and other executive branch bureaucrats — many now fired — who mistakenly believed they did not report to the duly-elected president of the United States.

Warrington, working with then-Attorney General Pam Bondi, then-deputy attorney general Todd Blanche, associate attorney General Stanley Woodward, solicitor General John Sauer, and many other senior Trump administration attorneys, fought back and won monumental victories for Trump, the presidency, Article II of the Constitution and the separation of powers, and the liberty of all Americans.

The Trump administration, under Warrington’s leadership, secured more than 30 victories at the Supreme Court against this lawfare. Just on Monday, in yet another major legal victory for Trump, the Supreme Court stayed the latest lawless ruling by another lawless Democrat judge — an injunction blocking the ongoing construction of a White House ballroom and military facility after a sham lawsuit filed by a D.C. elitist who simply dislikes how the project looks.

Beyond the courtroom victories, Warrington helped craft the legal architecture that allowed the president to exercise core executive authorities — emergency powers, border enforcement, and other measures — while navigating constant judicial sabotage by these Democratic plaintiffs, attorneys, and judges in these Democratic hellholes across America.

In the administration’s first six months, that foundation underwrote a historic wave of executive action: a day-one national emergency declaration at the southern border that deployed the military and ended catch-and-release; the designation of Mexican cartels as foreign terrorist organizations; the rapid dismantling of federal DEI programs; and a national energy emergency that unlocked domestic production.

These orders, many issued in the first 100 days at a pace unmatched in modern history, survived only because the legal scaffolding held under sustained judicial assault.

Challenging times remain. Radical Democratic attorneys and plaintiffs will keep running to their radical Democratic judges and will continue to weaponize the legal system against political enemies. Holding firm and fighting back against this lawless onslaught — while installing constitutionalists on the bench — remains the only durable answer.

Warrington gave a masterclass in how an exceptional White House counsel performs under relentless pressure. He set the standard for every successor who follows. For his steadfast service to Trump, the presidency, the Constitution, and the Republic, the nation owes David Warrington lasting gratitude.
