FIRST ON FOX: President Donald Trump will host more than 100 hunters, anglers and outdoor industry leaders for dinner at the White House on Thursday night, where he is expected to sign executive orders aimed at expanding hunting and fishing opportunities and reversing certain Biden-era restrictions on hunting and fishing.
Trump will deliver remarks to the sportsmen and industry representatives gathered for the dinner in the Rose Garden as his administration moves to open more public lands and waterways, ease regulatory barriers and promote hunting among younger Americans and veterans, Fox News Digital learned.
He is expected to sign a pair of executive orders in the Oval Office Thursday aimed at expanding “America’s public lands and waterways,” promoting healthy wild game populations and expanding access to offshore recreational fishing, a White House official told Fox News Digital.

Representatives from organizations and companies including Bass Pro Shops, the Cabela Family Foundation, the National Rifle Association, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Yamaha Marine Group, Polaris, Beretta USA, Safari Club International, Primos Hunting, Dallas Safari Club, Outdoor Sportsman Group, Sportsmen’s Alliance, USA Shooting Foundation, Ducks Unlimited, Sportsman Boats, Contender Boats, Taurus Holdings and the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation are expected to attend.
America’s outdoor recreation sector generates over $1.2 trillion annually and supports over 5 million jobs, according to a White House official.
Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, representatives from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and officials from the Commerce Department and NOAA will be present, Fox News Digital learned.

The Secretary of the Interior, the Secretary of Agriculture, the Secretary of War, and the Secretary of Commerce are directed to propose changes to current policies.
One of the policies spotlighted in the order targets Biden-era restrictions on the use of traditional lead ammunition and tackle.
Under Biden, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service adopted station-specific requirements for lead-free ammunition and/or tackle at several national wildlife refuges.

Trump’s fishing order seeks to unleash more of America’s coastal waters for recreational fishing while cutting federal red tape and giving anglers a bigger role in how fisheries are managed.

The administration seeks to move charter operators toward multi-year permits, replace mail-in catch surveys with mobile reporting, launching programs for depleted stocks such as Atlantic striped bass, and using eligible offshore oil and gas platforms to create artificial reefs.
