Fall jackets, sneakers and other must-haves are secretly up to 55% off at REI

Crisp mornings are here, and so is the urge to buy a new jacket. Before you pay full price, head to REI Outlet, the lesser-known corner of REI’s site where gear from brands like The North Face and Timberland is quietly marked down by as much as 55 percent. I combed through the deals to find the best fall jackets, backpacks, sneakers, and more. Sizes are already selling out, so don’t wait to grab yours.

We’ve seen a lot of rain in the forecast, lately, so this jacket will definitely come in handy. Its seam-sealed shell is waterproof, windproof, and breathable, while the relaxed fit leaves room for a sweater underneath. An adjustable hood, zippered hand pockets, and a longer back hem keep water out, and the recycled polyester fabric and colorblocked shoulders add a little style.

Part sneaker, part boot, Timberland’s Voyager Valley is built for days that start on the sidewalk and end on the trail. Leather-and-mesh uppers rise over the ankle for a sturdy feel, while cushioned EVA midsoles and flexible TimberFlex technology keep every step comfortable.
